The Wyandanch Plaza Association (WPA) invites you to support our 8th Annual Art of Giving Benefit on Tuesday, October 7, 2025, from 7:00 PM to 10:00 PM at The Piermont, located at 494 Fire Island Avenue in Babylon.
This important event is vital to the continued success of the programs and activities hosted at Delano Stewart Plaza in Wyandanch. Funds raised through the Benefit directly support the Plaza’s enriching programs, which foster community pride, cultural expression, and economic development.
Delano Stewart Plaza is a vibrant community hub offering a variety of impactful initiatives. Programs like our Health & Wellness Series Summer Saturdays promote physical and mental well-being through activities such as Yoga and SoulFit. Reading 'Round the Plaza encourages youth literacy with guest readers from the community. In collaboration with the Town of Babylon and other local organizations, we proudly launched our Summer Concert Series, showcasing outstanding local talent and bringing families together.
The Wyandanch Plaza Association also partners with arts and culture organizations and other local groups to encourage Long Island residents to visit the Plaza, using culture and the arts as a catalyst for social and economic growth.

2025 Featured Artist: Frenal Mezilas
Born in 1979 in Haiti, Frenal Mezilas discovered his passion for painting at the age of ten. A graduate of the École Nationale des Arts in Haiti, his career has taken him across the globe, with exhibitions at the United Nations in Washington, Hofstra University, Brooklyn College, and numerous museums and galleries. He has received multiple honors, including recognition from New York State, and in 2023 was nominated for Faces of Long Island. His work has been featured in publications such as Newsday and Anton Media News.
Frenal’s vibrant style blends influences of cubism, abstract, impressionism, and surrealism, inspired by masters like Monet, Dali, Kandinsky, and Picasso. Beyond his artistry, he is a dedicated teacher of painting, drawing, ceramics, and papier-mâché, sharing his love for creativity with children and individuals with developmental disabilities.
His art embodies over 35 years of experience and a belief that pursuing what you love most will always lead you to where you are meant to be.
